30 Days EOM (Net 30 EOM): Meaning and Due Dates
30 Days EOM means payment is due 30 days after the end of the month in which the invoice is dated. Counting from the last day of that month, an invoice dated 15 January 2026 is due on 2 March 2026 (Monday). Because a second counting method gives 28 February 2026, print the exact due date on the invoice.

What 30 Days EOM means
abbreviation for net 30 days end of month: written on an invoice to show that it must be paid within 30 days of the beginning of the following month
In date arithmetic: find the last day of the invoice month, then add 30 calendar days. That is method 1 below, and it is the reading our tables and due date calculator show first. The words "30 Days EOM" do not say which method applies, so agree it with your customer and print the resulting date on the invoice.
Two ways to count 30 Days EOM
- Method 1: end of the invoice month + 30 days. Invoice dated 15 January 2026 → end of month 31 January 2026 → + 30 days = 2 March 2026 (Monday).
- Method 2: invoice date + 30 days, then to the end of that month. 15 January 2026 + 30 days = 14 February 2026 → end of that month = 28 February 2026 (Saturday).
A French ministerial answer describes these two methods for "45 jours fin de mois" (45 days end of month) and says the parties should agree one in advance; it does not deal with other periods. The same two readings exist for 30 Days EOM as a matter of arithmetic. See the quote on the 45 days EOM page.

30 Days EOM FAQ
What does "Net 30 after EOM" mean?
It means the 30 days start after the end of the month (EOM) in which the invoice is dated, not on the invoice date. Counting from the last day of the month, an invoice dated 15 January 2026 is due on 2 March 2026. A second reading counts 30 days from the invoice date and then goes to the end of that month, which gives 28 February 2026.
Is 30 days EOM the same as Net 30?
No. Net 30 counts 30 days from the invoice date; 30 days EOM counts from the end of the invoice month, so it is never earlier than Net 30. The comparison table on this page shows both terms on the same invoice dates.
How many days does 30 days EOM give the customer?
Between 30 and 60 days after the invoice date under either counting method: 30 days when the invoice is dated on the last day of a month, up to 60 days when it is dated on the 1st of a 31-day month (counting from the end of the month).
