Net 15 invoice example

An invoice on Net 15 terms prints the term and the date it produces. Names and amounts below are placeholders.

10 January 2026 + 15 days = 25 January 2026. For any other invoice date, use the calculator below. For a ready-made file, the Excel version of the Net 30 invoice template works out the due date from the invoice date and a Net-days cell you can change to 15.

What Net 15 means

due date = invoice date + 15 calendar days. The day after the invoice date is day 1, and day 15 is the due date: the last day to pay on time, unless the contract says otherwise.

This is date arithmetic only. Where a law sets its own payment period, it can count from a different event; the rules we have verified are quoted in the payment terms guide.

"Weekend" is only a flag: Net 15 counts calendar days, and whether a payment due on a Saturday or Sunday may be made on the next business day is for your contract to say.

Net 15 wording to copy

Replace [due date] with the date from the calculator. Printing the date, not only the term, means nobody has to count days.

• Payment terms: Net 15. Payment is due within 15 days of the invoice date, by [due date].
• Please pay the full amount within 15 days of the invoice date (due [due date]).
• Terms: 15 days net. Due date: [due date].

Filled in for an invoice dated 10 January 2026: "Payment terms: Net 15. Payment is due within 15 days of the invoice date, by 25 January 2026."

Net 15 sets the due date; what you can charge after it depends on your contract and the law that applies.
